Interstate Electronic Systems, L.L.C. (www.ies-llc.com)
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Interstate Electronic Systems (IES) was commissioned to rebuild the surveillance monitoring system and control room for the casino, which had suffered the rage of the hurricane and was being totally rebuilt. IES is an Authorized Mitsubishi Data Wall Dealer with offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Jackson, Mississippi.
The installation consists of three Mitsubishi 60” DLP® Display Cubes with DLP® technology driven by a Jupiter Fusion 980 Display Wall Controller. Boomtown Casino has 476 surveillance cameras distributed throughout the casino, which are controlled by Camera Chameleon Software from 360 Surveillance.
Lloyd Francioni, principal at IES, indicated that they replaced roughly 45 10–inch monitors with three Mitsubishi display wall cubes and Boomtown has the capability to display 45 of any of the 476 cameras at one time. In addition, they can enlarge any single camera feed to fill a 60” cube for further scrutiny. The Mitsubishi display wall provides not only a more pleasing display than 45 individual monitors, but also provides the operators with dynamic control of their surveillance.
