The most common and diverse electronic flat screen technology in use today is LCD technology which is set apart by significantly higher resolution, beautiful display brightness, dramatically reduced glare, as well as better durability and reliability, plus lower energy and space requirements. The most advanced LCD monitors perform better by delivering faster video response time, offering a wider viewing angle and higher brightness with richer contrast for high-impact messaging. These flat panel monitors can be used as a single display or tiled into a dynamic video wall as an engaging, cost-effective, and economical digital signage solution in retail or other public display applications.
LCD technology works from two thin substrates with transparent surfaces, usually glass, with grooves full of a liquid crystal substance. Thin film transistors (TFTs) on the surface material apply an electric current to the liquid crystals. That current directs the polarization of the crystals, making them twist in certain directions, which blocks light through in the off position, or when switched on, the liquid crystals go into an alignment which allows light to pass through.
For control room display simulation where there is limited space yet a supplemental display is required to mirror massive wall displays, Mitsubishi offers an ultra high resolution 56" LCD monitor that can display up to 4 full 1080p high definition images in 2 x 2 configuration in just a single screen.
For video-conferencing, or public display messaging and digital signage advertising applications, a complete, innovative line of LCD displays is also available starting at 32" diagonal. Each model is well-suited for a wide variety of venues ranging from conference rooms to broadcast control rooms, command and control facilities to malls and airport terminals or train stations. Mitsubishi LCD displays are an ideal solution where dynamic content needs to be displayed in mission critical areas from war rooms to highly visible areas including school campuses and hotel lobbies.
