The VS-50PHF705 Projection Cube is designed to deliver superior SXGA+ resolution for your mission critical applications. With service access completely through the front screen, the cube is the ideal selection for your video wall when space is an issue. Built-in automated features of the 50” VS-50PHF70S Projection Cube ensure you get consistent, crystal clear imaging across the video wall during continuous operation.
Intelligent SXGA Projection Cube FeaturesPowered by the most advanced Mitsubishi technology available today, the SXGA+ projection cubes communicate and adjust as needed without external direction. With two built-in lamps, you have virtually no downtime when a lamp reaches the end of its service life. The Smart Lamp system detects that the lamp is near the end of its service life and switches to the second lamp within seconds. Color Space Control automatically adjusts the cube to blend in color and brilliance with the rest of the wall.
FlexibilityFront service access and three optional input ports mean you can install your display wall in virtually any space. If you’re using XGA projection cubes and now want to upgrade to SXGA+, the process is fast, easy, and cost-effective with minimal downtime. XGA and SXGA+ share cabinets and screens as well as the same powerful Texas Instruments DLP® technology, so you only have to replace engines while the remainder of your wall stays in place.
Internal ProcessingInternal data processing allows you to configure up to six windows per cube and windows can be resized across multiple cubes, so you may not need an external image processor during your installation. You can move multiple windows easily and, when using Mitsubishi D-Wall Software, you control the entire system with an intuitive graphical user interface.
Auto-balanceAutomatic real-time adjustments keep your SXGA+ projection cubes synched for color and brightness. Using built-in color sensors and a dynamic color control and brightness balancing system, the display cubes monitor output. Each cube shares data, automatically adjusting for accurate color balance and brightness over the entire video wall. External action, sensors, or PC’s are not required to maintain multi-screen uniformity.
Easy Set-upThe built-in Mitsubishi Auto-Geometry fine-tuning device uses an external camera and machine-vision software to align images automatically. Auto-Geometry enables automatic six-axis mechanical modification as well as mirror and screen adjustment. You can also opt for automatic color alteration with Mitsubishi Wallaby Software.
DurableMitsubishi has doubled projection cube service life. The display cubes provide over eleven years of continuous operation and the color wheel system, fan pack, and other moving parts are rated to 100,000 hours. That’s almost twice what display cubes from other manufacturers deliver.
RedundantThe VS-50PHF70S Projection Cube signal redundancy lets your control room handle mission critical applications with confidence. If a signal is unexpectedly lost, the cube immediately switches to an alternate signal source. Minimal downtime saves you time and money.

Front Access
The front access cube employs a unique mechanism that allows the display cubes to be placed against a wall, eliminating the need for service access space behind the display. The screen swings open allowing all access for installation, wiring and service to be done through the front of the unit. This reduces the footprint required for the display wall, allowing maximum use of space in the control room.
Color Space Control
Mitsubishi developed the powerful Color Space Control feature, a digital color balancing and blending circuit that compensates for color and brightness differences among all of the cubes in a multi-unit configuration.
Smart Lamp
Mitsubishi's exclusive Smart Lamp Module in each display wall cube stores its own color characteristics. This data is the utilized when replacing the lamp in one or more cubes within the display wall. Upon replacement, the cube with the new lamp automatically communicates that lamp's data with all other cubes and performs the Color Space Control adjustment to rebalance the entire display wall, saving time and reducing maintenance costs.
Smart Colorwheel
Mitsubishi's exclusive Smart Colorwheel™ Module in each display wall cube stores its own color characteristics. This data is then utilized when replacing the colorwheel in one or more cubes within the display wall. Upon replacement, the cube with the new colorwheel automatically communicates that colorwheel's data with all other cubes and performs the Color Space Control adjustment to rebalance the entire display wall, saving time and reducing maintenance costs.
Dynamic Brightness Balancing
Each Mitsubishi display wall cube is equipped with a built-in brightness sensor (brightness is measured every 2 seconds). The Dynamic Brightness Balancing™ circuit then communicates the measured brightness data between all cubes and automatically performs the necessary adjustments to maintain optimum brightness uniformity across the entire display wall.
12 Bit Dither & Gamma Circuit
Developed by Mitsubishi, the 12-bit Dither & Gamma Circuit enables the display of truly natural gradation (gray scale) by accurately rendering both bright and dark areas for precise half-tone images. This circuit also processes frame (time axis) direction to ensure smoother gradation and optimum color fidelity for all images.
Digital Gradation Circuit
Mitsubishi's proprietary Digital Gradation Circuit can elevate the brightness level at the edges of the screen–where brightness usually fades, in order to ensure the optimum brightness distribution and uniformity over multi-screen tiled configurations.
High Contrast Ratio
The combination of Mitsubishi's original high quality new optical system, super high-contrast screen and 12-degree DLP® chip (with dark metal coating), allow the Mitsubishi Display Wall Cubes to deliver an outstanding contrast ratio of 1600:1 (XGA models) or 1800:1 (SXGA+ models), and reproduce sharp, brilliant images with rich, vibrant colors.
