The color wheel unit of each Seventy Series display wall cube stores its own color characteristics. This system comes into operation when replacing a color wheel unit within an already installed display wall. Upon the replacement, the display wall cube which has the new color wheel unit immediately recognizes the difference in characteristics from the old one, and automatically adjusts itself to match the colors of other display wall cubes.

With Mitsubishi’s original color wheel system design, the average color wheel lifetime in the display wall cubes is significantly improved (100,000 hours, or over 11 years of continuous operation). The lifetime of other moving parts such as fan packs have also been extended to 100,000 hours. This significantly reduces the cost of ownership for users.
